Biography

Jonathon graduated from Georgia Tech with his Bachelor’s in Aerospace Engineering in 2023. His research interests include supersonic combustion, high-speed optical and laser diagnostics, and compressible flow dynamics. As an undergraduate, he worked on a high pressure nvPM study in a swirl stabilized combustor as well as NOx studies in methane/hydrogen blend flames. He has experience with optical diagnostics such as particle image velocimetry, planar laser induced fluorescence, chemiluminescence, and laser induced incandescence. His research aims to improve our understanding of fluid phenomena in supersonic vortex breakdown and advance our understanding of supersonic combustion for high-speed vehicles.
